It was Bath on the first floor, cypress style There is a shower room on the second floor I was surprised at how steep the stairs were. Home appliances around the kitchen are also available. I also had some delicious coffee. It was my first time staying in a Kyomachiya. The surrounding area is completely residential and only one group per day is allowed, so it feels special. When I went inside, I was happy to see that it was beautiful and clean, and the furniture and appliances were all new. In addition, the kitchen is not only equipped with Balmuda's latest home appliances, but also cooking utensils and tableware, so you can cook without having to eat out (there is a supermarket nearby). You can also relax in the cypress bath while looking at the Japanese garden. Each room is equipped with an air conditioner, so you don't have to worry about adjusting the temperature, and there is also floor heating. Amenities are provided, but please note that loungewear is not provided. This time I used it with my family, but I think it would be fun to spend time with friends as well. It's such a nice inn that I could have stayed longer.
First of all - the house is really cool. Historic and beautifully renovated. Unfortunately, we ended our stay immediately after checking in and looked for a hotel. It wasn't possible for us to spend even one night here. When we came in we immediately noticed a large spider in the entrance area. So we looked at the rooms. We quickly noticed large spider nests (not just spider webs, but real nests) in the window frames, on the ceiling and in the cupboards. Since the house has many angles, there are definitely more of them. It was also very dusty, the bathroom seemed a bit dirty and there was a strange smell. The upper window cannot be closed and is accessible from the outside via the canopy. We left the house straight away and contacted the provider immediately. Unfortunately he wasn't very accommodating and only refunded us the local tax and immediately marked the house as available again, so he could essentially collect twice. Airbnb support, on the other hand, was super friendly and helpful!
