Spacious and well kept Japanese style room with magnificent seaview. Cheapest Kaiseki ryori with breakfast and room ever tried in Japan, but the quality is as good, or one can choose buffet dinner

Summary - loved this place, near and tidy Just be ready for the long steep walk uphill from the bus stop to get there if you’re not driving It really works out the calves What we liked There’s a bus stop straight from imabari station / other major stations but the bus is a bit expensive (about 700 yen) Room - neat and tidy and had a great view with your basic a amenities including yukatas and socks Food - buffet style dinner and breakfast available (get half board because there’s no other options in the area). The food is quite traditional Japanese food with lots of sides, stews and seafood View - gorgeous overlooking the sea you get glimpses of the sunrise and the sunset with eagles flying about Onsen - older style onsen but clean and neat The crowd- lots of older folk visit but everyone was neat and tidy. Very orderly at the buffet Didn’t like- Extended checkout comes at a cost ($1100 for every hour)

We stayed for 1 night in a Japanese tatami room. Our room had an amazing view of the ocean. But the entire property and our room was very dated and badly needs a renovation. Given the price I paid for this room, I’d not stay here again unless this hotel undergoes a major renovation. It’s too bad because they have an amazing location and a good beach. The dinner and breakfast were buffet style and they were ok (nothing special to write about but nothing so bad that you can complain).
