Above all, it was quiet, cool, well-equipped, surrounded by nature, and with few insects - it was perfect. There were a lot of people using the facility, and most of them seemed to be well-behaved. I think the price was reasonable too. It was early August, and the heat was scorching, so it was unbelievable to be able to have a refreshing barbecue in the middle of the day. My grandson wore long sleeves.
Camped during golden week. We weren't able to get the auto camp spot but we got the free camp site. Area was bigger than the auto camp. Camping surrounded by nature was being one with nature and the feeling was peacefully nice.
The location was excellent. Of course, there was a beautiful stream in front of the site, but there was also a mountain where you could go trekking and a walking course in the large Kyuka Mura facility. The sites were spacious and we didn't have to worry about the neighbors. The facilities were clean and there was nothing to complain about, but the only thing that was disappointing to me was that the sites were made of dirt. It was windy and the site got very dusty. If they could put gravel or wood chips or something on the site, this would be the best campsite in my opinion.
