La Bergerie de Louvie

A 2-week stay, with 6 people the first week, then 10 the second. As per previous reviews, the pool area is superbly landscaped, beautifully planted, with exotic fish that add an Asian touch that's quite unexpected for the region! The owner and caretaker, Edouard, are very attentive and will do everything to make your stay even more enjoyable. The goats and sheep delighted my 8- and 11-year-old nieces, and we had no problems with flies, as I've read in other reviews. The weather was magnificent, with temperatures reaching 35 degrees and above, only one overcast day, and the evening thunderstorms remained on the Spanish side, so it was paradise, and the pool (heated to 28 degrees) was used to its fullest. Just two comments: for 10 people, it's a bit tight, the sofa bed being very average. But the new owner is gradually improving things; I think he'll replace it. And the arrival slope was really steep; I had to unhitch the bike rack as it touched the ground. To finish, La Bergerie is a little gem in a superb setting, quiet yet close to the village center and all the activities the valley has to offer (hiking, canyoning, cycling, etc.). In short, the place truly lived up to our expectations.

A characterful, comfortable residence with a refined decor enhanced by a superbly designed garden. One of its main assets remains this fabulous infinity pool allowing you to fully enjoy the view. What a joy to wake up and sip a coffee with this panoramic view lulled by the sound of the Gave d'Ossau in the distance!

Accommodation that lives up to its 4-star rating. With a superb view, staying in a sheepfold is a guaranteed change of scenery. The owner is very friendly and attentive to our requests; we'll definitely rent again when the weather is nice.
