La Concha Resort Puerto Rico Autograph Collection

Could not recommend La Concha any more highly! My stay in Puerto Rico was made extra special by staying at this amazing property and especially their amazing staff! I was greeted by Maria, who was so sweet and friendly…what a wonderful warm welcome to start off my trip right! As soon as I arrived in my room she called and saw if I needed anything. These small but lovely touches were seen throughout my stay with this amazing staff. Coral at the lobby bar was awesome too and made a great drink (off menu). As for the property, it was spotless, beautiful and in a great location. I cannot do it justice via writing, see photo and video. You have everything you need on property, but the neighborhood is absolutely an amazing place to explore (and eat and drink)! Puerto Rico has a special place in my heart and a huge part of this is due to my experience at La Concha. Although I booked with free night awards, I feel that this room was a massive value for the price and I would have gladly paid for it. 110% will return here for a much longer stay. A fantastic oasis in the heart of San Juan! The convenience to the airport is outstanding! The staff speak English and Spanish and are super friendly. The security staff is always nearby under the trees on the beach, which makes even the most nervous guests feel safe. Even going for a walk out in the neighborhood to get supplies and food at local stores felt safe. Everyone seemed to know that tourists were there to spend money and help out the economy. The hotel rooms were clean and the housekeeping staff was GREAT!!! The pool towel people worked hard to make sure there were always clean tables, chairs, and towels ready. Even the gym was beautiful, overlooking the beach, and clean! Will definitely come back here!

I stayed at this hotel for three days. Overall, the property is very nice — the beach is stunning, and the atmosphere is perfect for a relaxing vacation. We stayed in a suite with a city view, which was well-appointed and comfortable. However, it was quite noisy at night due to the street noise, which made it a bit difficult to fully relax. Also, when we arrived we were told we were given an upgrade to a suite but the room we were given was the one we reserved. I’m not sure why they felt the need to lie about the upgrade but the lack of honesty was concerning. While much of our stay was enjoyable, there were a couple of disappointing experiences. One involved room service — we received the wrong order, and it took a very long time for the staff to attempt to correct it. In the end, we decided to cancel the order altogether, which was frustrating. Another issue occurred at the front desk with a staff member named Kenia. There was a billing error where the wrong card was charged, and when we brought it to her attention, her response was surprisingly aggressive and unprofessional. I even had to ask if she was okay due to her attitude. I even took it as far as calling the manager. Mistakes happen, but the lack of accountability and courtesy was disappointing. Hospitality roles require patience and professionalism, especially for front-facing staff, and this interaction negatively impacted our overall experience. With a bit more attention to customer service and staff training, this hotel has the potential to offer an exceptional stay.
