First time to Siem Reap and our First Time staying at La Da Kiri Boutique Hotel and I have to say “I loved every minute of our stay here”. Hotel has great facilities and is good for both families, couples & Solo travellers. It’s only a 6 minute walk from Pub Street and the night markets. Staff are very friendly and helpful, they will help you organize day trips to the temples. Definitely recommend staying here.
The location of this hotel is really good! You can walked out and you are along a very nice street meant for tourist. Lots of restaurants, bars, massage places, cafes and tour operators. The hotel itself looks quite nice. The room are big and spacious. Not much of a view though, but u guess Siem Reap doesn't have much of a view anyways. The staffs are friendly. They greet you everytime you walked in and out and ask how is your day or where are you going and will suggest some recommendations. I think that's a nice personal touch. The cons I had with the hotel is 1) the breakfast is mediocre, it has a set menu which you can only choose 1 dish. There isn't a buffet kind. They had free-flow of tea and coffee and assortments of fruits and that's it. 2) Even though the check-in was at 2pm, when we came they said they have not finish cleaning since the previous guest had a late check out. We didn't really mind so went to have lunch and look around. We came back at 2:30pm and we were still told to wait for another hour or so. Finally they said they change our room to another that was already ready. We were still fine. But on the last day, we asked if we could have a late check-out at 1pm instead of the usual 12 since our flight is 3pm. They said they can't allow us late check-out, we had a really late check-in but can't have a late check-out. Oh wells. I understand it could be a one-off thing so just saying. The price for the hotel is good and the location is awesome so I wouldn't mind going back.
The location is good and the rooms are pretty decent for the price, about $35, but definitely not worth more than that. The swimming pool is good too, though don't expect to be able to sunbathe as it only gets sunny between 12 and 2 due to the many surrounding buildings. We thought breakfast was a little substandard compared to other hotels, with hardly anything there even at 9am. We had to beg for some fruit and some tea. Whoever thought it was a good idea to have a receptionist who does not speak a word of English at a hotel where most guests are foreigners has clearly missed the point...
