La Ferme des Lombardes by Casalero

Couldn’t recommended enough. My family and I stayed at La Ferme de Lombardes last week and had the best time. The staff do everything they can to make your week run smoothly. From taking you to and from the slopes, storing your ski’s and boots in the heated boot room so they are dry and ready for you in the morning, cooking for you when required (would highly recommend you try Vincent’s cooking). The accommodation is beautiful and comfortable, WiFi great and a smart TV for the kids. It is so well run and I couldn’t be more impressed.

This is a 5 star experience thanks to the amazingly warm hospitality by the family, excellent food and very comfortable apartment. Trips to and from the ski slopes in La clusaz each day was so easy and make you feel like you are as good as being located on the slopes. Highly recommend.

Five of us spent Christmas week at The Virolet. A very nicely furnished and comfortable apartment with a particular attention to details. Danielle made us a feel right at home even thought we arrived a bit on the early side as it turns out. We had ordered a meal for the 25th and we ended up with a banquet! What a feast cooked by the resident Chef. Immediate surroundings are nice and quiet, with some forest trails (good shoes mandatory). You're a 5 minutes away drive from La Clusaz, a lively ski resort with top shops and cafes. They also had some street performance art festival that week which everyone and especially the kids enjoyed. They host a world championship cross country ski leg, so they have a nice loop setup early on in the season. We also spent a few hours at the indoor/outdoor pool and wellness center which is always a great way to relax. Finally, if you have not been there before, I recommend visiting Annecy while you're there. A nice outing to this city by the lake, filled with canals and medieval houses that is just 45 minutes away. We're looking forward to our next stay at La Ferme.
