La Fornace Relais & SPA

An absolute gem! La Fornace is a perfect location to relax and unwind while enjoying the Sorrento Coast. We spent 5 nights and booked 3 rooms for 8 people (including two kids). This hotel is run by a local family, and they are so nice and helpful. The ladies that run the hotel are so friendly and welcoming. They even gave us a gift of Honey that they grow in their family farm. They provided support for all our needs, including recommendations for trips, food, etc. They were very friendly to our family and the kids, and their dog Diva is there to greet you. The three rooms were clean, big, and modern. One of our rooms was the suite, and it is such a magical room and concept. You stay in a converted furnace room (hence the name) that is an amazing room with a great view. Some of the greatest sunsets I have seen. Highly recommend the suite. Our party used the spa services three times, and it is one of the best experiences we have had. You should book a service if you have time! Food was also great, breakfast was abundant and delicious. Typical pastries, fruits, coffees, juices, and cereals/eggs were available. Recommend the Latte Macchiato! The beach across the street is also owned by the same family. It is a great convenience, and their restaurant and pizzeria are really good. We spent a whole day at the beach (Bagno Elena), the beach was perfect for us and the kids loved it. As for the location, I found it to be an ideal spot. It’s close to Pompeii, Vico Equense, Vesuvius, and Sorrento. We were able to visit Positano and Amalfi via a boat tour as well. I recommend pre-booking transport or giving the hotel about 15-20 minutes notice so they can call a taxi. Overall, i highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Sorrento Coast that is looking for an beautiful and relaxing setting in this region. The hotel will exceed your expectations.

The hotel is lovely, clean and charming. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, they helped us arrange several things during our stay and answered all our questions. The breakfast and spa facilities are great too.

This was quite possibly the best hotel experience we have ever had! Andrea and Alissa were so helpful through our 2 night stay. We befriended their dog, Diva (she is the sweetest and definitely made us miss our doggos at home). To us the location was great, a little farther from the city center but a lovely change of pace from the hustle we had experienced in Italy thus far. Like many other reviews here state the breakfast is plenty, diverse for all your cravings including juice and coffee of your choice. If you leave hungry, it’s your own fault. The beach is so close and beautiful! We came in early October and the water was still warm enough to get in. Lastly the staff, they are beyond excellent! From lugging my heavy suitcase up the stairs as they walked us to our room, answering our multitude of questions, assisting where they could (even helped us order our delivery pizza). The hotel is gorgeous, clean and perfect for relaxing and unwinding. We only wish we could have stayed here longer!
