Salamón, by itself, is a must-see. A small town in the heart of the Leonese mountains, with well-kept streets and houses. Without stress, without noise, here you learn what silence is. Storybook town with "palace" included, in this case, with the name "𝑳𝒂 𝒉𝒐𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒂 𝒅𝒆 𝑺𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒎𝒐𝒏" a super cozy place that embraces you and pampers The top floor of this building, built with love, respecting the architecture of the area, stone, wood and tile, is the so-called suite: two bathrooms, one of them with a hot tub, a charming sauna and an incredible panoramic view of the mountain. The inn is run by Ángel and his sister, very nice and extremely attentive people. They serve breakfast and dinner on request, a detail that in my case I greatly appreciated, you return tired from being out all day and you don't have to use the car - there is nothing in Salamón - to go to dinner, you have it at "home" and at much more than reasonable prices. I just wish Ángel and his sister much success, they deserve it.
I got there and left straight away. Here are the reasons: There is no bar or restaurant within 8km. If you haven't made a reservation at that restaurant you go hungry. The restaurant by the way is one of the places where the TV is on while you eat. There is no place to prepare food. The kitchen is just for the owner. My room had no fridge and views to a construction side right next door. The day I got there dinner was announced to be "difficult" as the owner left town and would return very late. So no lunch, no dinner but direct views at the neighbors construction side.
