I stayed only one night, but it was perfect. I arrived early and I could check in at 13:00. The two ladies who welcomed me were incredibly nice and gave me excellent suggestions regarding what to visit. The Bar Le Torri belongs to the same owners. I had breakfast there and they promptly offered to keep my luggage while I took a final stroll. The room was big, charming, the bed super comfortable and the bathroom apotless clean. 100% recommended!

San Gimi is an absolute gem of a city. Please stay here. The family running it is accommodating and friendly, and this is an easy walk from the front gate or the side parking lot. Couldn’t be more central!

Liked the central location, just being a couple streets/turns from the main entrance. Really appreciated the staff answering our questions and being helpful. The room was beautiful and had plenty of space for our luggage. Excellent restaurant nextdoor, and the owners also have a restaurant close by. We planned to arrive via public transportation (train and bus) and had a bit of trouble with the buses, which was stressful. However, it worked out in the end, and we are so thankful it did because San Gimignano is AMAZING. Staying here overnight was very cool. It's one of my favorite places in the world now. Wish we would have had more time to stay in San Gimignano! There were tons of shops with specialty items like olive oil, wine, pasta, leather bags, homemade goods. I would have liked more time to shop! Plenty of excellent places for drinks and dinner. A note on transportation: we relied on the buses, and Google Maps wasn't exactly correct on the bus number and schedule. Not all 130 and 133 buses run the same route to San G. The buses don't run super often. AND our bus was 18 minutes late, and we wondered if it would ever come! Also, the early morning bus on a weekday was PACKED with high school students, and they were a bit rough in letting us off by the train station with all of our luggage. If there's a way to drive your own car or have someone else transport you, that would probably be ideal!
