La Maison Gobert Paris Hotel Particulier

We enjoyed our 2-night stay at this friendly and well maintained small hotel. The room was comfortable with a view of the back courtyard (and we heard birdsong one morning!). A lovely and filling breakfast was included in our rate. Metro station Charonne (exit 4): a simple journey from our arrival point, Gare du Nord. And easy to travel around the city from there. Many eateries in the area. Also near the famous cemetery which we’d never visited before. The owner/host was super, and met us on arrival and departure. We’d definitely return.

We have stayed here for 5 days and for us this guest house was the perfect choice. The subway is around the corner of the guest house. Our suite was on the second floor and it was very clean and nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable and there was enough space in the closet for our clothes and suitcases. The owner and staff are very friendly and try to make your stay very pleasant. Good breakfast with plenty of choices. Thank you so much for taking good care of us, especially on our last day when we were invited by the owner to have Chinese tea in his beautiful tea room.

This is a great hotel, overall, but not an excellent one as it was ranked when we googled it. The bathroom did not have proper ventilation. There were some issues with the sewage system. On the positive side, their staff were super friendly and helpful, spoke English perfectly. Their breakfast was awesome, highly recommended!
