La Palma Holbox

Such a pleasant 3 night stay at La Palma, super friendly staff that will assist you with whatever you may need, we had a huge and spacious lovely apartment on the end looking over to the pizza restaurant. The pool is lovely and fresh and excellent to cool off. Lots of cheap local taco and Empanadas around the area and only a few blocks down to la playa. Great stay and was sad to leave, could have stayed two weeks more.

Great experience overall. Friendly staff, spacious room, and very close to restaurants and the night life. However, if you speak with « Jonathan » be careful, he is very talkative, but I guess this is his nature. The worst part is when he offers to do excursions. Complete lack of professionalism on this part as we took an excursion to Las 3 Islas. We had to pay an extra entrance fee in the first island. When confronted, he replies that this is completely normal as some people do not want to swim in the Cenote (but you don’t have access to the island if you don’t pay). Johnny even had the audacity to tell us that he gave the information on a brochure, we never received and suggested that we were silly with suggestive punctuation. All he asked was to pay the 600 pesos… which is the « minimum price ». Guess what, the others in the excursion paid 500 pesos. Not good Johnny
