La Playa Hotel

Amazing hotel and staff. Their attention to detail in creating a very curated experience for their guests was amazing. Rooms are clean and well appointed. Grounds are beautiful. The hotel is located close to the beach and a short, but slightly strenuous (uphill) walk to the town center. During the evenings they provide free ground transportation to and from downtown Carmel. Be sure to take advantage of their breakfast! Highly recommend. You won't be disappointed.

We had a delightful stay at La Playa. The rooms are a bit on the small side but the ambience of the hotel makes up for it. The staff was amazing, the breakfast provided was delicious, Bud's the bar area was fabulous, a throw back to another time and I have to mention the music... thoughtfully curated reel to reel music tapes with a high quality speaker system. We will be returning! Thank you La Playa for outstanding customer service.

Gorgeous wedding venue. WiFi was available at the front desk for wedding guests which was reliable. Service was attentive and helpful. All spaces were very well decorated and historic with the hotel itself. The event space has an outdoor terrace overlooking the courtyard which made for a beautiful wedding and reception. I would visit again but as a guest.
