One of the main reasons we booked was they had a cool bar and outdoor patio area to have drinks and eat. First night we wanted to have some drinks at the bar and were told we had to leave because it was booked for a private party. Annoying but whatever. Second night we headed back to the hotel after being out all day. looked forward to eating out on the patio only to find out IT WAS CLOSED FOR THE WEDING PARTY. We could not even walk from our room to the pool. We had to go around the back way because of the wedding party. Paid full price for the hotel only to be told we cant use it like we actually paid to stay there. If when we booked the room it would have been disclosed that we can stay there but stay out of the way I would have booked elsewhere. Will not recommend this hotel. Only giving two stars because some of the staff was great and they were put in a hard place. We were not the only guests annoyed with the situation.
We paid over 5k for my daughter’s wedding at La Posada and were completely disregarded the entire day. We couldn’t access the banquet hall until the wedding started, wasting hundreds of dollars in decorations. Parking was a nightmare due to another conference booked the same day, which delayed our photographer and makeup artist and caused us to lose valuable time. Staff ignored repeated requests to help close the outdoor tent panels on the 30x40 tent due to cold weather—we had to do it ourselves, missing important moments. We had to start our own fires at the patio for the ceremony and inside the dancehall fireplaces The event coordinator was absent, and management was combative and unprofessional afterward and continued to imply we were lying. The only help we received was a ladder. This venue lacks professionalism and customer service. I do not recommend it.
This could have been a nice resort but the service is just terrible. First, although we checked in at 11 we only got our room at 4 and nobody called us to let us know if it was ready. The worst was trying to have a quick dinner on the patio before opera. Although they had many tables available they wouldn't sit us on the patio without a reservation. Although it was 6 pm and we were going to leave at 7. Although we were guests in the hotel and I am a Bonvoy Ellite member. We will not come back.
