We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel La Punta! The staff was helpful and kind. The room was clean and had everything we needed, most especially the AC and fridge! The pool was wonderful! The ferry is a 2 min walk away which was convenient. I would highly recommend it!

The opposite of a Honda accord, looks really pretty but isn’t quite as nice a place to be I would have given it 4-stars if it wasn’t for the hammering on my wall at 7am. There’s currently construction going on behind and on top of most of the rooms, and I believe they were nailing something into the wall just behind my bed’s headboard. Great way to start the morning with a headache and needing earplugs ——- This hotel looks quite nice! The rooms are very well decorated, the tiling is pretty, and the rooms are situated around a large pool and picnic area Room service was great, everything was clean, and hand soap + shower towels were provided Unfortunately it’s like the designer didn’t think about how the room would be used. Here’s a short list of things that seem easily fixed but killed part of the experience for me: - The door doesn’t latch, only locks. If you have several people in one room, this makes having only one key quite a problem - The shower is just about big enough for you to stand and not move. Trying to lather soap means you hit your elbows on the walls - No shower soap is provided, shampoo, conditioner, etc - The refrigerator was unplugged & broken (I plugged it back in) - There was very little space to put things in the bathroom: one hand towel rod, a hook on the door, and a 100x600mm (4in x 2ft) glass shelf - The provided blanket covers just your feet, so have fun with only sheets - The bed wasn’t quite a brick but reminded me of my college dorm mattress - Free Wi-Fi is provided, but at about 2 Mbps. Fast enough for music and loading websites after a few seconds. ——- Overall the room wasn’t bad; the air conditioner was effective, the windows were plenty, the pool was quite nice, and it had a comfortable desk area, but there’s so many small things about this hotel’s rooms that make it less than optimal. Still, if you’re looking for a budget option near the ferry port, I’d say this is a great place to go.

2025-March We arrived in the early evening. The hotel lacked a traditional lobby; however, a front desk was conveniently located in a corridor. The front desk staff were pleasant and helpful. We were given a physical key, and two remote controls, one for a TV and another for an AC unit. Our room was #8. It was on the second floor and there was no elevator. Our tour guide drove us to this hotel, therefore we didn't know where the parking lot was. The room was adequately sized, and furnished with one queen-size bed and two twin-size beds. However, the queen bed lacked an independent spring system, resulting in motion transfer between occupants. Two pillows were provided for the queen bed and one pillow for each twin bed. A flat-screen TV is mounted on the wall across the queen-sized bed just above a small desk with a chair. A mini fridge, a cabinet with hangers and two drawers, a safe (that has not been left open by previous tenants), and one nightstand in between the beds. There was no lamp, hair dryer, iron, ironing board, alarm clock, clock, or microwave The bathroom was of adequate size; however, the sink offered limited space for toiletries. Three low-quality towels and three small bars of soap were provided, with no shampoo, conditioner, facial tissues, or hair dryer. The toilet paper holder lacked its rod. The shower head, originally a side-wall fixture, had been relocated to the ceiling for a rain shower effect, leaving the old pipe exposed. The rain shower head requires cleaning due to clogged nozzles, resulting in inconsistent water dispersal. In addition, the very low water pressure in the shower made rinsing soap and shampoo difficult, leaving a residue, and a feeling of being unclean. The shower drain exhibits slow drainage. We notified the front desk staff of the inadequate water pressure; however, as much as the staff tried, they were unable to resolve the issue. The outdoor pool operates until 10 pm and is heated. There was no water slide or hot tub. When asked for pool towels, the front desk said to use the room towels. The accommodations fell short of expectations, lacking certain essential amenities. However, the staff demonstrated exceptional professionalism and courtesy. Their attentiveness and willingness to assist greatly improved the overall experience. Despite the room's shortcomings, the team's dedication to customer service was commendable. A balance of improved facilities and continued staff excellence would create a truly exceptional guest experience. Have a great stay!
