La Quinta by Wyndham Giresun

I didn’t know what to expect when I first booked this hotel but was glad when I arrived. The front desk did everything to make us feel welcome. Sure, we had some issues with language barrier but nothing technology can’t fix. The restaurant was really good and service was good. Pool was a nice added bonus. There was a wedding but the noise was minimal, I could barely hear it. Rooms were clean and housekeeping team was really nice. Con: The TV is not connected to WiFi so you are not able to watch any steaming apps even thought they are on the TV. The room had a slight smell of cigarette but nothing concerning. Overall I had a great time and if I’m ever back to the area, I will stay there again.

La Quinta has an amazing view — it is truly stunning. One of the highlights of our stay was the receptionist, Murat. He was incredibly professional, kind, and helpful throughout our visit, and I truly appreciate his support. However, I had a very unpleasant experience with noise at this hotel. La Quinta is extremely noisy between 6:00 PM and 1:30 AM. The hotel regularly hosts events like weddings and other parties, often on a daily basis. Unfortunately, the management prioritizes these events over guest comfort and fails to comply with Turkish regulations, which prohibit loud music in residential areas after 11:00 PM. The hotel is small, so it doesn’t matter whether your room has a sea view or faces the street — the noise reaches everywhere. During our stay, there was a party with extremely loud live music from 6:00 PM until 12:45 AM. Even after the music stopped, drunk guests continued yelling, chanting, and whistling until 1:30 AM. I had to wake up at 5:00 AM to catch a flight, but unfortunately, I couldn't get any rest. In conclusion, while the view and the staff (especially Murat) are excellent, the management shows zero respect for their guests’ comfort. There is no strict policy in place to limit noise during nighttime hours. If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful stay in Giresun to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Black Sea, La Quinta is not the right choice.

Seems like a 3 star hotel. Furniture is very outdated, breakfast is good Location is good, right on the coast. They do over charge on the minibar, I wanted to have a cola from the soda machine downstairs which has displayed 40 lira for the can. The machine wasn’t accepting any bills for some reason. The receptionist informed me that the room has cola in the fridge. When I came down for checkout the next morning they wanted to charge me 130 lire! I refused to pay such a price and only paid the 40 lire that I wanted to pay in the first place which was displayed on the soda machine in the lobby.
