La Siesta is a great little escape just about 12 km south of Beirut. The drive is usually smooth, especially in the morning, though it can get a bit crowded on weekends — nothing too bad if you go early. The resort itself is peaceful and clean, with both beach and pool access. If you’re looking for some quiet time, I recommend the small pool on the left — it’s way more tranquil than the main one. The staff are welcoming, and the food is decent and fairly priced. Rating: 3.9/5 Close to the city, calm vibes, and great for a relaxed beach day — just go early for the best spot.
We visited La Siesta Resort on a Sunday. The entrance fee for adults is $30, which I found quite expensive considering the facilities. The resort offers access to a pool and a beach, but unfortunately, I wasn’t impressed. The beach has sand , but the water didn’t seem as clean or clear as what you’d find in Batroun or South Lebanon. For the price, I expected a better experience in terms of cleanliness and value. Overall, I don’t recommend it, especially if you’re looking for a high-quality beach day.
I had one of the worst experiences ever at La Siesta Lebanon. We paid before entering the resort, before putting in our bags or food, and were NOT told anything about outside food being an issue. After spending over $100 on food for my family—because the food sold inside is ridiculously overpriced—they suddenly denied our access, saying no outside food was allowed. At that point, we’d already paid and entered. When I asked for a refund, they had the audacity to say it would take “several business days” and refused to give me my money back on the spot. Why should I wait days to get MY OWN money back for a service they didn’t even provide? This is nothing but a scam to trap people into spending money on their overpriced food. The customer service was rude, unhelpful, and completely inflexible. I’m beyond disappointed and angry. I will NEVER return and I strongly urge others to avoid this place if you value transparency, respect, and basic decency. Shameful.
