A dreamy escape we’ll never forget 💘 I can’t say enough good things about La Tavernetta! My boyfriend and I spent a few nights here during our trip to Sicily, and it was hands down one of the highlights of our whole vacation. From the moment we arrived, everything felt so peaceful and intimate. The hotel has such a relaxed, romantic vibe — surrounded by beautiful gardens, olive trees, and with the ocean in the distance. We loved how quiet it was, especially at night. Our room was super clean, comfy, and had this rustic-chic style that made it feel really authentic. One thing that really stood out was the warm, family-run atmosphere. You can truly feel the love and care that goes into every detail The staff were AMAZING — so friendly, helpful, and always smiling. They gave us the best recommendations and helped us plan our stay. The pool area is gorgeous and perfect for lounging after a morning of exploring. And the view? Unreal. Like something out of a postcard. This place totally captured our hearts — it’s romantic, relaxing, and full of charm. We already said we’d love to come back someday 💕
Overall, a great experience, though a few small details kept it from being a full 5-star rating. This is a cozy boutique hotel, perfectly located with stunning views and a lovely pool area. We stayed in a triple room on the second floor, directly above the reception. Note: there’s no elevator — not an issue for us, but it could be for some. The room wasn’t very well soundproofed; we could hear conversations from downstairs and from the adjacent room. Also, the air conditioning unit is positioned right next to the bed and blows directly onto it, which made it difficult to keep it running overnight. Thankfully, there’s a ceiling fan that worked well for us. Free parking is definitely a plus — a real luxury in Sicily — though it does require a short walk.
The location is excellent, but the facilities are quite dated. The service, unfortunately, did not meet the standards one would expect from a hotel in this price range. I also found it disappointing and inappropriate that guests are asked to pay €5 for beach towels and an additional fee for luggage storage after checkout, especially considering the already high room rates.
