While booking this place, bear in mind that it’s not a traditional hotel. It’s rather a 5* camping with your own bungalow. However, it is the best way you can enjoy the beach over there. And the resort is well equipped, has a small supermarket, pool etc as well very friendly staff. And it’s super close to Saint-Tropez so it’s convenient to drive there for a dinner.

Long-time guests, but recent experience disappointing We have been coming to Toison d’Or for many years and have always enjoyed our stays. It used to be a peaceful place where one could truly relax. The garden of the resort is still absolutely beautiful – very well maintained and something truly special. Unfortunately, our most recent visit was quite disappointing. The accommodation in Kassai Plage showed heavy signs of wear, felt outdated, and had a rather cold and impersonal interior. Inside, it looked more like a two-star roadside motel than a five-star holiday resort. Cheap wallpaper, a stained sofa, dirty floors, and dark, dusty curtains left a poor impression. During a seven-night stay, there was no change of bed linen or fresh towels, which we found unacceptable given the high pricing. The rates are comparable to a five-star hotel, but the service and standards are far from that level. What bothered us the most was the constant noise, including extremely loud music coming from various sources for hours each day. It was nearly impossible to relax. On a positive note, the reception staff was very friendly, even though inquiries often involved long waiting times.

We spent 5 days here (Monday to Friday) and were extremely disappointed. For around €2,500 we got a very small cabin with a tiny bed and an incredibly hard, uncomfortable mattress. In the “living room” there was no sofa, just a strange cabinet with a plastic cover. The room clearly needs renovation and updating — it’s simply unpleasant to stay in. The room had none of the basic amenities: no shower gel, no shampoo, no toothpaste, no conditioner, no iron. There was absolutely no cleaning service — during the entire stay (5 days) we slept on the same sheets and used the same towels, despite this being a seaside resort. After a long journey, we arrived to find the room unprepared, and had to make our own bed. Breakfast is charged separately (€23 per adult and €18 per child from 4 years old) and is absolutely not worth the price: no fresh fruit, even though we were in peak season in Saint-Tropez. Instead of fresh pineapple, they served canned; when we asked for fresh, they said they only had grapes and grapefruit. The selection is extremely poor — mainly pastries. Breakfast is served only until 10:30 a.m., which is far from ideal when you are on holiday. The facilities were also disappointing: there were almost no children’s activities, except for swimming lessons with a good instructor — the only positive during our stay. Check-out is strictly by 10:00 a.m., check-in not before 4:00 p.m., and they won’t register you even 10 minutes early. There is practically no internet — only weak 4G, making it impossible to work. According to reviews, if you leave dirty dishes they can charge €50, and if you check out late, they will charge your card. Value for money is zero. I do not recommend this place and we will never return.
