La Valise is truly a gem of a hotel—intimate, elegant, and perfectly situated. Nestled in an exceptionally walkable neighborhood, it offers effortless access to some of the city’s best restaurants, charming boutiques, and beautiful parks. Whether you’re exploring the area or looking to unwind, everything you need is just a short stroll away. The rooms are spacious, thoughtfully designed, and incredibly comfortable. Each one feels like its own little sanctuary, blending luxurious aesthetics with home-like warmth. With only eight rooms in the hotel, the service is remarkably personalized. There was always someone available to greet us with a smile, offer dining recommendations, or suggest things to do in the area. A special mention goes to Eric, who went above and beyond to make our stay special—by the end, he felt more like a friend than a hotel staff member. It’s that kind of genuine hospitality that makes a place memorable. Though the elevator was out of service during our visit, we didn’t mind using the stairs. That said, those with mobility concerns may want to check ahead. One final tip: if you have the chance to book a massage, do it—the experience was absolutely incredible and a highlight of our stay. We can’t wait to return. La Valise left us feeling refreshed, cared for, and already planning our next visit.

If your booking for Mexico City La Valise Hotel is a must stay. It’s pricey but worth it!!! Each room is different! These are photos of Gravity Room. We loved it! Staff is amazing. Breakfast is like being in a cafe in Paris- the croissants were melting in our mouth- fresh fruit and yogurt, amazing latte and staff was so doting! Loved it!!

Really beautiful rooms and great location. The room is super stylish and high quality. We really enjoyed it. Staff is very kind and friendly as well. There was also always someone around to help you. It has a great atmosphere Expect a small, cute, stylish boutique hotel, with a small reception, no lobby or additional service people but that's fine. They do have a coffee shop though where you can hang. Two things to improve: - Be aware of an added destination fee to your bill: we had prepaid the rooms. At the end of the stay they added 2 additional charges to the bill. 1) local tax (of course, that's totally fine) and a $40 destination fee per day (made it sound like it's something mandatory we need to pay). However after asking, they said it's optional fee for maintaining the building in good shape and we can take it off the bill if we want to. Sneaky! At a hotel with >600$ a night I don't expect you sneaking in an additional fee without mentioning it transparently. - We asked if they can help us send a postcard, in top hotels the service usually does that for you. Here they didn't know what to do with it, referencing that postcards are not usual in Mexico. So, great hotel. I can recommend. But keep these things in mind. Thus only 4*.
