La Vite Vaticana

I can’t say a bad word about this place. Stayed there with my partner in January, people working there were extremely kind and helpful, room and bathroom were very clean, bed was comfortable and the price was very reasonable. Location was also great for me as I wanted to be as close to the Vatican as possible - 5 min from St. Peter’s basilica, just on the outskirts of Vatican City! I will definitely visit again and stay at La Vite Vaticana!

The location was great, close to lots of restaurants and only a short walk to the metro (plus directly outside Vatican City!). JR was very friendly, and the roof terrace in the hotel was perfect for relaxing in the early evening! 3 of us shared a room (double bed + single bed), with plenty of space for suitcases and clothes!

Location seriously cannot be beat but be aware of punitive charges should you arrive in the late evening. We were hit with a excessive "late arrival fee" unlike anything I've seen at any accommodation I've stayed worldwide and which was undisclosed when booking via an online travel agent. The host went as far as to tell us he "knows it's popular to save money on flights by taking late night flights" when in fact we had a flight delay that resulted in the late arrival. To add insult to injury, the card machine was conveniently "broken" when we were asked to pay, so forced us to use cash, thus leaving us without any recourse to dispute the charge via the bank.
