Up until now, I've only stayed at resort hotels on Miyakojima Island, and this was my first time on the main island. While heavily developed, Okinawa's main island is packed with attractions, so I think a hotel like LACER is more convenient than a resort hotel for a trip there. It's an unmanned hotel with many foreign guests, but we were able to spend three peaceful days there without any trouble. My daughter, who is elementary school-aged, loved it, even though she banged her head on the bunk bed a few times. At night, you can walk to Kokusai Street, but in the hot sun, I recommend taking the Yui Rail. Being able to walk to the market is also nice. The natural beauty of Mibaru Beach and American Village are a 40-minute taxi ride away, so you don't need to rent a car. However, you'll need to plan a return taxi ride to Mibaru Beach, otherwise you might get stuck. Ride-hailing apps are a no-brainer, so search for and contact local taxi companies. Incidentally, the hotel's toilets and showers were very clean, and the laundry room had a dryer with detergent stocked, which was great. The identity verification at check-in was done in somewhat broken Japanese, which was difficult to understand, but overall the satisfaction level was high so it didn't bother me.
The hotel is very clean. The six-person room is great and has everything. I was stuck for a while when I checked in by myself. I also met other Taiwanese people who didn't know how to get in. Here I will share how to check in. 1. The main entrance is on the right side facing the hotel. There is a small corridor going down and the door is on the left. 2. The password for the door lock will be sent to the booking email in advance. The content is in Japanese and English. Scroll down and look carefully: Secret code: [number] [number] [number] [number] [E] This is the door code (Note that the "Reference number: ____" at the top of the email is the Reference No. for self-check-in on the 1F tablet, not the door code) 3. For self-check-in on the first floor, first operate the 1st or 3rd tablet from the right facing the tablet wall, enter the Reference No. and start. Later, you will be asked to go to the tablet on the left (2nd or 4th) and press the video call in the upper right corner. Someone will connect the line to confirm with you. After confirmation, return to the original tablet and press the button on the screen. The room number and room code will appear. Remember to take a photo! Basically, you can check in. I hope it can help Taiwanese people who are also stuck~
