Lafayette Park Hotel & Spa

We had such an amazing wedding weekend here-- although we used a different venue for the ceremony/reception (due to not finding this place until after we'd already booked our wedding site), we got to see what one would look like the day before ours, and it looked stunning! The entire grounds are lovely and idyllic, but the service is what really stood out. From contacting the manager for a room block to checkout, we had such amazing service that the weekend felt so much less stressful than it could have been! It's a great deal for the price, especially considering the location, and we definitely plan on coming back. I know our guests also felt well taken care of, and Lafayette seems to just value making guests' stays brighter. Considering how clean and well-maintained it is for the price, we're so happy our matron of honour found this spot for us to stay at with all our special guests and loved ones. It really made the whole experience so much brighter, while still allowing my then-fiance and I to enjoy such a romantic atmosphere :)

We had an amazing experience at Lafayette Park Bistro & Bar! Our bartender, Max, was incredible — hands down one of the best espresso martinis I’ve ever had in my life. Not only was the drink phenomenal, but Max’s attention to detail and warm energy really made the experience stand out. We were also greeted by Gavin, who was equally fantastic — so friendly and welcoming, he truly made us feel like friends from the moment we walked in. Top-notch service, unforgettable drinks, and an atmosphere that makes you want to come back again and again. Highly recommend!

I stayed here with a friend for my sister's concert up at UC Berkeley and it was such a gem! Completely by itself from other hotels, not too much busyness. Nice and quiet but absolutely beautiful area. The room was an upgraded/renovated room (pictures are not on their website yet, but I would recommend picking/booking an upgraded one). It was beautiful and such a vibe honestly. Our room had two king beds (instead of queens) and they were so comfortable and everything felt absolutely luxurious. Their attached restaurant called "The Park Bistro and Cafe" was also beautiful and extremely elegant and classy. I would 100% stay here again. The only thing we didn't get to was the pool and spa, so we did not see those areas. But other than that, I will for sure come back! And the several receptionist we encountered were also very kind, helpful, and overall SO welcoming. If I could give 10 out 5 stars, I would. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a quiet getaway, with class, that luxury Gatsby/modern feel, and something relatively close to UC Berkeley without it being chaotic over by the school. It's about 20-25 mins from the school and do you have to hop on the freeway to get there. But it's not bad at all. Loved it
