A Wonderful Stay at Kyoto La’gent Hotel! We stayed at Kyoto La’gent Hotel for 3 nights and had a fantastic experience. The hotel is spotlessly clean, very quiet, and the beds are incredibly comfortable — we slept so well each night! But what truly stood out was the breakfast — absolutely delicious! A great variety of dishes, beautifully prepared, and the perfect way to start each day in Kyoto. It really exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Kyoto who values comfort, cleanliness, and a top-quality breakfast. We would definitely stay here again!

The property itself is beautiful, with a calming and thoughtfully designed atmosphere that makes for a truly relaxing stay. One of the absolute highlights is the breakfast — it’s incredible! Featuring fresh Kyoto vegetables and a wide variety of healthy, delicious options, it offers a wonderful way to experience traditional Kyoto flavors. That said, the front desk experience has been underwhelming at times. On multiple occasions, efforts to raise room-related concerns were met with a short or unfriendly tone, which made me feel like an inconvenience. For a 4-star hotel, the cleanliness—particularly the bathroom at check-in—also fell short of expectations. That being said, I do want to acknowledge how hard the staff works, especially when managing large groups. It’s clear that a lot of effort goes into the food and operations, which I really appreciate. With some improvements in service and housekeeping, this hotel has the potential to fully match the excellence of its breakfast and serene ambiance.

Don’t even know where to start. The moment we arrived, we got charged extra for ‘taxes’ despite we booked on booking.com and taxes are included. Literally a robbery without balaclava. Room super super small and the bathroom smelled like pee the whole time. We asked for another hairdryer as the one they gave us was broken and we’ve been given attitude from the girls at reception. On top of that according to their policies they don’t clean the room until the 3rd day. Never ever heard of that. Beds very uncomfortable, but especially the pillows, been having neck pain the whole time. This is definitely not a 4 star hotel, barely a 2.5 and I am being generous. Definitely NOT recommend it. You can definitely find better
