I have never been to such a horrible hotel, and I would give it 0 stars if I could. We arrived by taxi and even the taxi driver was shocked when he saw the hotel conditions and its location. The location of this hotel could not be worse: far from the old city and opposite to a brothel, the hotel stands in an abandoned industrial building (quite frightening if you arrive at night, as we did). The owners have tried to recondition parts of this abandoned building to make "hotel" rooms, but they have definitely failed to do it and the rooms do not meet the minimum requirements. It was a rainy day in Jerusalem when we arrived. The first thing that we noticed was that the rain and wind were coming into the room through the windows, making the walls completely wet.The windows were of such terrible quality that the water was running down the walls as if the windows were open (although they were closed), and there were leaks on the ceiling, probably coming from a roof in the same dreadful conditions. There was so much wind in the room that anyone staying overnight there would have definitely caught a cold. After this first awful impression, we decided the check on the bathroom: what a surprise it was to see that there were hairs and drops of urine on the toilet! The bathroom had not been cleaned, and it was absolutely gross. After seeing all these things, we thought it couldn't get any worse. However, we then found out that the two "complimentary" bottles of water the hotel had left in the room were open and refilled- Honestly, it would have been better not to offer anything. After this, we saw hairs and empty bottles of water under the bed, confirming the shocking cleaning service that this "hotel" provides. We then immediately told the guy in reception that the room was not tolerable. He offered two other rooms that were in the same (or worse) condition: In one of them there was a big puddle of water on the floor- the water was not only coming through the windows, but also through the door! In addition to this, we were supossed to have dinner and breakfast included with our stay, but there are not facilities for these within the "hotel". When we asked about dinner, they told us they would take us "somewhere" to have it- who knows where. Since they didn't offer any better room (they didn't even offer to clean ours to make it a bit more acceptable), we had to make the decision to leave. It was quite late on our first night in Israel and we still had to find a new hotel, but anything was better than staying there any longer. Do NOT book or stay in this hotel. Its extremely bad quality and service make it deplorable, and it is not even cheap (250 euros a night). Finally, I just wanted to point out that 5 of the 8 reviews shown here (as well as the replies from the hotel staff) were made exactly 1 week ago. Surprisingly, they are all brilliant (5 stars) and they were written after another bad review. This is, to say the least, very suspicious, and I do not believe they correspond to reality. Judge for yourselves.
There was a mosquito infestation. Management refused to let me check out and refund my money. He said by reserving this room they missed out on someone else booking it. Understandable BUT I was moved around to other rooms so I know they were many available rooms and the hotel was not fully booked. They did not miss out on someone else booking the room. It was a terrible location. The hotel manager has anger issues and was yelling on the phone in his language. I didn’t understand him. He threatened me that he had a copy of my passport. I left anyway and lost my money. I could not sleep there! I have 8 mosquito bites.
It was one of the worst places I’ve ever stayed. Towels with holes, room without windows. Industrial area and all other worst things. Thanks God the city itself provides so much, that staying in hotel is not needed.
