Lajitas Golf Resort and Spa

If I could give 10 stars, I would. This Resort is a true Gem, and greatly surpassed any expectations I had coming to visit for a few days. The staff are welcoming and always ready to help with any request. The rooms and grounds are beautiful and the food, my Lord did the Chef amaze us with his delicious works of Art. This is my new favorite place.

Absolutely loved staying here. The perfect location for exploring the Big Bend National and State parks. The warm swimming pool is great at night, laid in the water watching the stars.

We booked the room through Expedia getting a price lower than that offered by the resort, then found out why when we arrived at the Badlands Hotel. All rooms are on the second floor and there is no elevator so we climbed steep stairs for three days. (We’re both in our eighties). The bed was too soft but the ac worked well. The biggest negative was the toilet seat which was coated with years of grime. Were it not for the service by the staff, I would give it one star. To be fair, there were other buildings on the property which were newer, on a single level and would have been better for the elderly. Sarah, a waitress at the restaurant, Michael at the hotel, Alex and Emily at the pro shop are all very good. The golf course was incredible! I couldn’t believe I was still in Texas it’s the best maintained course I’ve ever played and the views are spectacular.from the back tees. However, the trails are not well marked and a course of this quality deserves a description of the holes and strategies for playing them. A university golf experience
