Lake Geneva Hotel

Lovely hotel, we stayed in a beautiful room which was very worth the price with a window seat that allowed you to see the lake. The staff were all pleasant and professional. The location is slightly out of the main city but in my opinion this is much nicer. There are still shops and restaurants around and it is much quieter with a beautiful view of the lake and plenty of places to sit and look out onto it. A two minute walk to the train station and five minutes to the bus stop and with the free tourist travel card you can’t go wrong! Only a fifteen minute train to get to the main city. This holiday including my stay at this hotel has been one of the best I’ve had!

We are staying for 11 nights and booked 2 bedrooms. Front desk staff are super amazing in handling everything. They are very helpful! I can imagine the challenges they must be facing and how remarkably they must be dealing with everything. Unfortunately as much as I wanted to give 5 star to the hotel the cleaning was below par. I had to complain to make sure the cleaning was done properly and proper bathroom amenities were provided. Also the hotel lacks basic amenities like kettle and a mini fridge but we were able to store a couple of items in hotels main fridge. The location is perfect just a few steps from the station, grocery store, a salon and nice cafes. Their restaurant is pretty good too.

I booked a room with a Lake view, and I did get a bit of the lake, but the floor of the room was scratched, walls were scribbled on with pencils. The bed was lovely and soft and I asked for, and got, a quiet room. Room service was a bit pricey with a surcharge of 9 chf but the portions of food were large, it was very tasty and service was quick and efficient. All the mod cons, so that was nice. There was no minibar in the room either. Staff were lovely and very attentive. The breakfast was included and it was amazing.
