Lake Tekapo Grandview

The staff was very kind and welcoming. The facility was clean & tidy, comfortable and well-furnished. Our room was lake-facing so the view was amazing. Definitely will revisit here again.

0 stars. DIY continental breakfast included such delights as 4 slices of bread in a plastic bag, small bag of cornflakes and some low fat fruit yoghurts from supermarket. Room not refreshed so we had to rinse plates and cups etc in bathroom. I shall be letting Kuoni know so no one else wastes their money.

Couldn't give zero stars so had to give 1. No one turned up to show us to our rooms. A very basic breakfast left in our room on the first day and we never receive any further room service. Reception and hallway was covered on leaves that were blown in from the front and back doors, lounge was not cleaned as there were dead flies and mosquitoes on the windowsills. We never saw any staff after the young lady that turned up after our travel agent called the owners. When we complained about the very unacceptable 'continental breakfast left in our room, she disappeared and we didn't see anyone again. Our room wasn't refreshed and our basic breakfast and water was not replaced during the 3 nights we had to stay there... we couldn't find alternative accommodation so we had to stay, so we are advising you to book elsewhere near the beautiful Lake Tekapo.
