Lakehouse At Toyako

Absolutely blown away by this hidden gem of a property with direct access to Lake Tayo. I was blown away by the elegance of this property with all kinds of activities available to do on the lake. You can feel the history of the property which has been well taken care and preserved with love by the owners Johnny and Ayuko sans. Both Adults and kids were happy - there were all kinds of water activities- SUP, canoe, kayaking, e-biking, water trampoline and purely just swimming in the calm lake. Our three young kids of all ages were kept entertained all on their own at the safely gated property biking, scootering around, finding bugs etc. It is a MUST visit and stay if you are going to Lake Tayo. Way better than staying in a commercial hotel. We are for sure coming back whenever we are in Japan! Make sure to visit their restaurant Tayo Soba!

We loved our stay here. Super friendly and kind management in making any and all arrangements and referrals. The room was fantastic and spacious. Clean and modern. The view of the grounds and lake are wonderful. The walking trail along the lakefront is sublime. Canoes, catamarans, BBQ, Shabu Shabu, but most of all peace and quiet and beauty all around. Jonas, the manager is kind, knowledgeable, super friendly, and he made our stay a complete please. We will miss it there until we are able to return.

Spent a night glamping with my wife and two young kids. Great place! The tents were nicer, cleaner, and more spacious than most similarly priced hotel rooms. Didn’t need to take anything with us except food, but I think they can arrange that too. Definitely took all the hassle out of doing a one-night only camp. Very kid friendly, and the host was super helpful. Will definitely go back.
