It's a good hotel. Yet the best part is the dinner services provided by Ms. Pei Chih Lin. The menu is intriguing, not conventional. Ms. Lin explained it to us clearly and patiently. When the soup base is getting to spicy, she repeatedly attempted to tone it down for our comfort. She is warm, patient, helpful, understanding and having a genuine sweet smile all the time. She is the treasure and should be the best valued employee of the hotel.
I booked through Trip.com and wasn’t aware that the room was street view, so I ended up paying an additional TWD 400 per night to upgrade to a mountain view — which was definitely worth it. I traveled by Taiwan Rail from Chiayi and used the local bus within Su’ao. Transportation is very convenient, but it’s important to check the bus schedule in advance. The room, food, and service were all great. I especially want to praise one of the staff members (I believe he works at the concierge). He went the extra mile and made me feel genuinely welcomed — his warm and thoughtful service really made the hotel stand out. His name is 黄舜岚.
We loved the rooftop infinity pool and the location was ok, but there weren’t a lot of happening things around it, like night markets or restaurants etc. the springs were probably the most notable thing in this hotel, and the fact that it was in our own rooms made it all the more better. There were both cold springs and hot springs with real minerals inside. However, after a dip in the infinity pool and the springs, the conditioner and shampoo barely worked. I could feel the chlorine and minerals in my hair and skin, and it feels disgusting. Apart from that, the hotel is great yet you should tie up your hair in the springs if you don’t want it being disgustingly sticky and tangled.
