The hotel is great, loved the facilities and the location!! Most of the staff was very kind and friendly but the rest I felt was not very knowledgeable or up to the level of the hotel. On the pool area the guys working there were very kind and super hands on but not there the whole time. One afternoon no one was there and we couldn’t get towels and other stuff. I was a bit worried about breakfast as i had read mixed reviews about it but have to say it was really good, there was scrambled eggs (at no extra cost) and all products where very fresh and of good quality. Staff were very proactive and friendly compared to other situations like at lunch time or at the bar. All in all was a super pleasant long weekend at l’Alberetta!!
Disappointed!!! The hotel presents itself as a 5 star resort. Rooms are nice but very outdated. Shower and cabinets need an urgent upgrade. Front desk - the face of the hotel was horrible. The stuff was unhelpful to say the least and even condescending. Restaurant was ok at best. Waiters were very young and inexperienced. They did not know much about the menu or ingredients of the different dishes. Breakfast- I expected more from a facility at this level. Spa looks nice. Quality of the treatment was poor. Really expected more from a resort at that level!!!
Absolutely Disgusting Experience – STAY AWAY. My mother and I went on a vacation expecting to relax, but unfortunately, staying at this hotel turned into a very unpleasant and negative experience — something that had never happened to me before in Italy. During our stay, over €5000 in cash was STOLEN from our bag, which was hanging inside our private hotel room. We were away at the time, and the only people with access were the hotel staff. We had brought that money specifically for a planned shopping trip to Milan. That evening, after returning to the hotel, I had a strange feeling that the amount looked suspiciously low. I decided to recount the cash, and to my shock, realized that nearly half of it was missing. At first, I didn’t want to believe that this could have happened at the hotel. I went over everything again, even rechecked after returning home, hoping it was just a misunderstanding. But once I was completely certain that the money had been stolen during our stay, I contacted the travel agent who had booked the hotel. The agent then got in touch with the hotel directly. And then? Nothing. No one from the hotel ever tried to contact me. There was no apology, no explanation, no offer of help or compensation — just complete silence. Another thing that stood out was the hotel’s housekeeping practice. Every time the room was cleaned, the door was always fully closed — which we found very strange. We travel frequently, and in every other hotel — whether it’s a standard room or a villa — housekeeping typically leaves the door open during cleaning. That’s standard practice for transparency and safety, so this behavior immediately felt like a red flag. This was an extremely disappointing and disturbing experience, especially in a country like Italy where I’ve always felt safe and respected as a traveler. Sadly, this hotel proved to be the complete opposite. If you value your belongings, your peace of mind, and basic decency — DO NOT STAY HERE.
