When I say this one of the most luxurious stays you can have, in the middle of a forest I mean it, inzolo Lodge can house 8 guests, 4 rooms each which have ample of space and amenities such as outdoor tubs and fine interiors, I have never a staff more excited and willing to help you out, staff like sia and even the rest help you out with anything with giant smile on their face, the chef is amazing and personalises food all according to your various needs, we have very strict dietary restrictions and the abided by all of them. The bar is amazing as well, of course the drinks go down the wonderful view on the deck. There 5G wifi available in the lodge and 5G network available in the rest of the reserve as well which was a pleasant surprise. We were first scared that we won't the animals we would like we would in kruger or masai mara, but stress not we saw cheetahs, lions, hippos, zebras, giraffes, elephants, rhinos and many more, our safari guide ryno (ironic I know) was amazing, very knowledgeable and had great sense of humour and attitude as well, a very jolly fellow. He found us beautiful spot where we could have breakfast with giraffes and zebra which was my highlight. The only criticism I had is that the pool can get a little dirty because of the insects but I suppose you can't help that when in you're in a forest, also the pool was quite cold (we visited in early may) although I don't mind cold water, a hot tub as a replacement or an addition to the mini pool would be the cherry on top. All in all if you're planning a trip to SA inzolo Lodge is a must stay if you can. 5/5
We had a great time, largely thanks to our incredible ranger, Leisel who went above and beyond to make sure we had two fantastic drives each day. She brought hot drinks in the morning and cold sun downers every evening as well as home made snacks and baked goods. We saw cheetah, lions, giraffe, buffalo, rhino, elephant and even a hippo which was bathing in the waterhole beneath the lodge. The food was also very good with extremely attentive and friendly staff. My one criticism of Lalibela is the proximity to the road/motorway. We could see and hear the motorway which was quite busy with traffic during parts of the game drive. At times I found this a little distracting from the beauty of the landscape. There are other game reserves in Kruger which feel much more remote.
A very inconsistent service. No hot drinks before or during the drive of mornings. Food not upto standard. Service room was not replenishing coffee etc. asked what you wanted for breakfast and got entirely different to what you asked for, dinner of evening meat salty and luke warm/cold Perhaps expectations were to high but have been on other game reserve lodges and Inzolo lodge doesn't come near to the standard of previous lodge visited. I would choose another to save disappointment certainly wouldn't come here again but have booked to go to our previously one.
