Lalitha Mahal Palace Hotel

We visited Lalitha Mahal Palace on a Saturday and were pleasantly surprised to find it not too crowded — which made for a calm, unhurried experience. The entry fee was ₹100 per person, and it included a complimentary welcome drink, which was a nice gesture. The palace itself is breathtaking — a beautiful blend of regal architecture and historic elegance. The interiors, with their grand halls, chandeliers, and antique furniture, truly transport you back to the royal era. It’s easy to see why many movies have been filmed here, including the famous Tamil movie Muthu starring Rajinikanth. The cinematic atmosphere adds another layer of charm to the visit. Whether you’re a history lover, architecture enthusiast, or someone just looking for a quiet cultural escape in Mysore, Lalitha Mahal Palace is definitely worth a visit.

Recently We had planned to Visit at Lalitha Mahal Palace but changed our minds at last minute and we’re glad we did. During our visit, we paid a ₹400 cover charge (For Four), which included complimentary tea or coffee, served in a gloomy corner with little ambience. Only the first floor is accessible, housing too empty, lifeless banquet halls. Recommended for once visit while stayed in Mysore.

Location, building is best. Its a Grand beautiful palace. Deluxe Rooms are ok ok. Old Furniture and old rusty look. Breakfast was good. Housekeeping is not up to mark. Needs improvement. One can stay here to have a palace experience at reasonable cost
