Frequent traveler to CDMX for business. Platinum Bonvoy member. Nice hotel with updated rooms. Standard rooms are small. Suite are decent. Staff can be a bit of a hit and miss. Lounge is disappointing for the level of hotel. Quite small. Breakfast options in lounge are quite basic. Good value if you have a corporate rate, otherwise it seems over priced.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had a fantastic stay at the JW Marriott Polanco—almost perfect, but I’m giving 4 stars due to a maintenance issue during our visit. We were upgraded to a beautiful suite, and it truly elevated our experience. The room was spacious, elegant, and offered stunning views of Mexico City 🌆—one of the best I’ve had from any hotel room in CDMX. The location in Polanco is ideal, surrounded by top restaurants, luxury shops, and walking distance to Chapultepec Park 🛍️🌳. The executive lounge breakfast was another highlight 🍽️—not just convenient, but actually impressive, with fresh fruit, pastries, and traditional Mexican options in a quiet, refined setting. Service throughout the stay was warm, attentive, and professional 🙌. Every staff member we encountered went out of their way to be helpful. The only downside was that the AC in the bedroom wasn’t working properly, which made it a bit uncomfortable at night. Had that not been the case, this would easily be a 5-star review. Overall, JW Marriott Polanco is an excellent choice for a luxury stay in Mexico City, and we’d absolutely return.
Overall a great place to stay. The hotel staff were superb from the bellhops, front desk, maids, room service and concierges. If I had any issues with anything it was the bar in the lobby. Their bartenders cheat you on the amount of alcohol they pour in your drinks. First drink I ordered was a Bloody Mary and didn’t taste any bloody vodka. Two days later went and ordered an Old Fashioned in a five inch glass with a huge ice cube which wasn’t to the top. I wish I would’ve taken out that little ice berg and shown it to the bartender. My drink would’ve been around 2 ounces. Buyer beware.
