Lancaster Bangkok

This is my first visit (3N) to The Lancaster Bangkok, and it's definitely now one of my favourite hotels in Bangkok. I prefer a laid-back approach in terms of service, and this place fits the bill perfectly. Nobody is pushy or under your feet, and we were able to relax, unless we needed something. Every staff member acknowledged us during our stay. I'm a fan of the internal architecture, I love the style of this hotel. The rooms are a really good size, and the bathrooms are luxurious. The beds were extremely comfortable as well as the pillows, there was iron/ironing board, hair dryer, and laundry bag in the room. We didn't think it was missing anything for a short stay. Everything is of high quality, and despite being a bit older now, this place holds up really well against the more modern establishments. The swimming pool is very clean and the service upstairs was always positive. The customer service experience throughout my stay was faultless. The reception staff were very helpful and polite, the concierge was always smiling and professional, the bar staff were excellent. We never used to gym, but the staff greeted us whenever we passed by. We didn't eat here, so can't comment on the food. I wouldn't hesitate to return to this hotel in future. We stayed for the majority of our time in the hotel, and we are incredibly relaxed for it.

Very nice hotel with professional and attentive staff. Easy drive from airport. Great gym. Short walk to train line if you prefer to explore on foot. Expect to pay a 5000 THB deposit to cover room service, etc. North side has better views.

Lancaster Bangkok is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. I did have some issues, but overall had a great time! +Pros -Great location, close to everything -Great in house food options -Polite and respectful staff that made me feel at home -AC works great and keeps the room ice cold if left on -House keeping is offered daily and they are very hard workers with a great attitude on life +Cons(note that the hotel staff did do their best to right any wrongs, so these aren’t major problems, just notable remarks that I would appreciate knowing) -I had a problem with room service, but this was a simple mistake and they did make this right once I elevated the situation to a management level. -The room had a moldy smell and the 2 couches/seats felt damp when sat on. Better circulation would likely fix this, but the windows do not open so another method like a dehumidifier is needed)
