Landews Meadow Cottages

This is our second time of staying in the Cottage. The first was in November and we found the accommodation to be really spacious but also snug and cosy. The lovely conservatory was a real bonus for when it was too chilly to be outside. This last time was in April and it was just wonderful! Being surrounded by countryside there was a wonderful dawn chorus each morning and we enjoyed the bluebells in the woods close by that we could easily walk to from the cottage. There's also lots to see at the bird reserves not too far away and we heard the booming bitterns and saw marsh harriers. We were catching up with old friends we hadn't seen for a while and luxuriated in the outside jacuzzi by the lake where I also saw my first swallow of the year against a rural backdrop of Kent countryside. If you want a night off cooking in the well designed kitchen there are some good pubs at reasonable prices This place is ideal to chill out with friends and is especially attractive for nature lovers and those wanting a quiet time away from the hurly burly of life. We're already looking forward to our next visit.

We had an amazing stay at the rose hut for our 5 year anniversay. I must say this is the most amazing setting to see such a beautiful sunset!! We haven't seen anything quite like it. On arrival the check in was very easy and straight forward and we were welcomed but Sharon, who I have to say was one of the loveliest hosts we have ever met. Sharon Thankyou so much for everything!! Even the kiss on Terry's bald head haha. The hut had all the essentials needed and the hot tub overlooking the lake and field views were just perfect 👌 It was absolutely lovely to see all of the wildlife, birds, sheep and local pet pony too. With the toilet/shower room being in a separate part (just a few steps from the hut) it's a good idea to use the loo before bedtime as it gets very dark (also please be careful not to step on frogs on the way in the dark). I would also recommend to be very careful when putting the double bed together as we both caught our hand underneath the bench part trying to dismantle it. All in all, a beautiful place to stay and we definitely be returning in the future (within 4 years before Sharon retires to her hopeful in Spain) Thankyou so much for a great break xx

Just had a fabulous couple of nights at hedgehog hall for our wedding anniversary, what a beautiful place to stay, really chilled out and away from the hussle and bussle of life, totally recommend and we will definitely be back again!! Thankyou to our hosts for making us feel very welcome!
