Landgasthof Hotel Muhr

Three of us came without a reservation. Unfortunately, that was a minor mistake as the restaurant is extremely popular. Nevertheless, we got seats at the regulars' table (thank you). We had an non-alcoholic cocktail, which was excellent. It was a little too sweet for my taste, but the other two liked it. As a starter, we were given a large selection of different bread rolls (nut bread, olive bread, salted bread sticks and white bread) with two different spreads (horseradish/truffle (white) and a kind of Liptauer (orange)), plus super olive oil. We also got salt, pepper and extra olive oil. Excellent. Then we had a parmesan foam soup garnished with basil. The flavour was perfectly balanced. The starter is included in the price. I had a roast beef with onions, parsley potatoes and a sauce. Incredibly tender and delicious. The second dish was a burger with fries. The meat was incredibly tender and just spot on. It also came with pickles, onions and mustard (unfortunately we couldn't tell whether this was with the burger or the roast beef). The lamb in curry and pumpkin sauce with rice was also excellent. The lamb was very tasty and exactly cooked on the spot. The best food in Austria so far in terms of price/performance ratio. The staff were extremely polite. Restaurant is to be highly recommended, the proximity to the airport 15 minutes away makes it very attractive!

Looking for Michelin starred cuisine? Don't waist your time. This family inspired place will give you a lot of surprise. You will need more than one night stay to enjoy the whole set of menu. Highly recommended for family weekend in shiny Australian village

Have been at the location für the first time for a wedding and I was pretty much impressed. Amazingly tasting dishes, good staff and the location itself also great. I suggest it if you're close and looking for lunch or dinner.
