Absolutely loved this hotel and the culinary experience. This is a nice chateau that is underrated and under utilized. I discovered a secret basement bar that was closed but would have made a great « speakeasy » experience. You must try the tasting menu if you visit. Well worth the price if you are a foodie. Wine selection was very good and absolutely affordable for what you get. They could easily double their prices and it would still be ok. Service was impeccable and very professional. The entire wait staff was very attentive and friendly. Try to stay a few nights to experience the grounds, the bike and walking paths, the terrasse and the restaurant. Do not miss the tasting menu. It’s a little out of the way from any major cities but well worth the detour. My only feedback would be: I would loose the black gloves if I were the manager. Not sure it’s necessary and not sure it’s more hygienic. Makes it feel a little too formal and this is not the vibe. It’s more relaxed and semi-casual. And for the grounds, add a small fountain in the water ponds to remove the standing water. It would help clarify the pond and make it a more attractive feature. The rest of perfect!
A beautiful original hotel in a quiet end of nowhere place close to a forest bordering with NL. Nice Room but above breakfast room, so on Sunday morning awake at 6:45 due to prepatory work for breakfast below. On evening, the guy above walked endless making noise on the squeaky floor. But wonderful park , great bar and terrace.
Our stay had one major issue that significantly affected my experience. The old building is incredibly noisy, and we could hear the guests above us almost as if they were in the same room. As a light sleeper, this made it nearly impossible for me to get a good night's rest. We stayed in room 115, directly above the bar, and because the insulation is extremely poor. The jazz music from the bar, though played softly, was very loud in our room. On top of that, the radiator produced a constant buzzing noise, even when turned off. That said, there were also positive aspects. The breakfast was delicious, offering a pretty standard variety of high-quality options. The bar was a cozy place to relax, with the gentle jazz music creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The surrounding area is stunning, with plenty of walking trails, and the room itself was clean, featuring a large and comfortable bed. Overall, if you're a deep sleeper, this hotel has a lot to offer in terms of charm and comfort. However, for light sleepers like me, especially if you're staying in room 115, it’s unfortunately not the best choice.
