An extraordinary stay with my girlfriend. This place is an impeccable haven; it shines in so many areas: the attention of staff and owner; the hospitality; this secluded area where you can hear distant cows and geese; the breakfast lounge; ghe entrance to the suites; the backyard accessible through a French window with patio and small fountain. We loved the romantic settings in the suite. I liked the big, open shower area in the batheoom. This is a place where you go to relax completely.
Great place!
Since we weren't in the castle, but in the house where the reception and breakfast room were located, I'd call it rustic rather than romantic. Room 6 on the first floor was okay, but there was no view. Everything was cramped and not recommended for people with physical disabilities. Perhaps even dangerous, as the step leading down into the room was irritating. No place to stay inside or outside the building. A sauna, as mentioned here, is advertised, but €25 per person and use is definitely extortionate. Breakfast was very good if you arrive early. The terrace was not accessible despite the good weather.
