We had a very enjoyable stay. My kids really liked the billiards table in our family room and had fun playing both in the evening and the morning. The staff was friendly and helpful, which made our experience even better. The breakfast was great, with a chef preparing scrambled or fried eggs with bacon on request, along with a nice selection of quality breakfast items. The price for adults was fair, though a discount for children, who eat less, would have been appreciated.

Really good place! Got the boxing ring - room and the kids (and myself) loved it. Nice pool area. Friendly staff.

A Fun Concept That Misses the Mark – Beverland Resort Review Beverland Resort sounds like a dream: quirky themed rooms, a countryside escape, and a unique atmosphere. And honestly, the idea is great. But unfortunately, the execution just isn’t there — it feels like a once-fun party that no one bothered to clean up after. Let’s start with the room. While some are creatively themed, ours was one of the more “standard” options — nicely decorated, yes, but with a TV that looked like it was last used to watch the 2006 World Cup. No Chromecast, no AirPlay, no Netflix — just a relic reminding us of simpler times. The evening buffet? Way overpriced for what was on offer. The meat was incredibly dry — like, desert-level dry. I’m still trying to understand why a simple glass of tap water costs so much in Germany, but that’s another story. Now for the positives: the breakfast buffet was genuinely the highlight. Fresh omelets made to order at the stove — warm, tasty, and exactly what you’d want to start the day. A small detail, but it stood out. (Bonus comedy: the pancake machine wasn’t working… again. Same issue as our last hotel, same machine. Is this a running joke in German hotels?) We tried the pool, but it was too cold to enjoy. And the sauna — which is still shown on the resort’s website — has actually been removed. No notice, no update, just an empty promise. On a walk through the Beverland property, we stumbled upon piles of empty bottles and leftover trash from previous polterabends — not quite the peaceful nature stroll we had in mind. It gave the impression of a place coasting on past glory, not one actively maintained or cared for. In the end, I’m left with mixed feelings. It was fun to try, and the concept has a lot of potential. But for the price, I wouldn’t recommend it — not until they give the place the refresh it clearly needs.
