Landhotel Schütterbad

Truly exceptional place in all ways. There was nothing missing. Everything was well thought through, and created with care and beauty in mind. We had a super clean, bright, spacious room. Easy parking. Superior service. Wonderful breakfast and great dinners (reasonable prices) beautiful sitting areas inside and outside in the garden and on the patio. Looks better in person than on google photos. The place offers a natural good size pool with decks , garden, areas to play, hammocks, and is located just next to a forest path and a meadow. You fall asleep to the sound of the river. Plus, there is a sauna and a fitness room. The hotel was a highlight of our three week trip.

Amazing hotel in a beautiful setting! We loved the generous size and comfortable design of our family room, the meals and the very friendly and warm staff. It’s a great place for a family vacation if you’re looking for a more peaceful setting than the usual kid oriented hotels. Kids are welcome here but it’s not over run by them. There’s a small playground on the grounds, a play room in case of bad weather, kids get to choose from a special kids menu in the evening and even got a small toy with every meal that they really looked forward to. We felt really well taken care of by the entire staff whether during meals or when checking in and out or needing information on things to do and how to get around. In terms of surroundings, we really liked that it’s a but further out from the village although you could hear the road a bit every now and then. It is still close enough to walk to the village surrounded by forests and the mighty Saalach river. There’s a lot to do in the area especially if you get the Saalachtal card which we made use of almost every day, don’t miss the Lofer Almwelt or the different gorges! The highlight were definitely the meals with a great breakfast selection and a wonderful dinner choice every evening. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely return.

We only spent a little bit of time here, but it was really well spent: swimming in the wonderful pool, ping pong, hiking, biking; really good food, wonderful service and an overall good feel. We would like to come back for certain.
