The hotel is in a good location for getting to the city centre, although the walk back from the city is a long uphill drag. However, the frequent 31 bus service stops outside. On site car parking was useful and the daily parking supplement understandable. The room was spacious with a great garden view. The only negative was the shower: a bit eccentric to operate and difficult to get hot water, despite it being available in the hand basin! I liked the fact that the breakfast menu was varied and individually priced. The restaurant also offers good choices for dinner. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

Nice hotel with big rooms. Contacting hotel by phone is difficult, they don’t answer, website is “under construction”. Minimal staff around to help out. Parking is “first come first serve” which is limited, unfortunately this is not mentioned on Booking.com. Bus stop close by to take you to city centre.

Carefully booking this hotel: the reception told us to pay a £10 parking fee per night for parking right outside the hotel, but I received a parking fine afterwards. When I contacted the hotel, they confirmed receiving the £10 parking fee but denied responsibility for ensuring that guest's car is good to park there, and took no further action regarding the parking fine.
