Lanta Sand Resort & Spa

If you can’t stand cockroaches, stay out of this hotel. (Cockroaches doesn’t bother me so…) Here’s my reviews. Stayed in one of the villas at Lanta Sand, and overall, it was a chill and relaxing experience. The villa was spacious, with its own little plunge pool and outdoor space, which was a nice touch. Waking up and stepping out into that private area felt like a proper island holiday. Location is perfect, right on Long Beach. Just a short walk and you’re at the shoreline, with beautiful sunset views in the evening. Super easy to just slow down and enjoy the moment. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay. That said, the villa could use some updates. A few things felt a little worn out, like the pool area and parts of the bathroom. Water temperature in the shower wasn’t very consistent, and some drainage issues made the bathroom floor a bit slippery. Still, if you’re not too fussy about minor flaws and just want a peaceful place with space, privacy, and beach access, this is a solid pick. Wouldn’t mind coming back again for a quiet getaway.

If you are considering Krabi, this resort is a MUST STAY. I actually recommend low season because the price is insane, we paid $35 a night for a private villa, with two showers and a private pool, talk about luxury! The staff does not speak English well but they do offer amazing service that will blow you away. The location does mean you’ll need a bike, unless you to decide to stay at the resort, which honestly we were happy to do! The food was incredible but avoid the pizza. It’s frozen or at least tastes that way. Go for the fresh dishes! 7-11 is a 20 minute walk from the hotel, so come prepared. If you come during the high season, Ozone is right next door, so great parties!

Gorgeous hotel, mopeds for rent and staff friendly, only issue was wait time at the restaurant. I really put off complaining as I don’t like to but after an hour wait we did but when complained received no compensation for the delay. not sure if it was because it’s quieter time of year so less staff? Food was delicious however
