We had a wonderful time with our 7 month old at Lantana. We stayed for 10 days, and we honestly feel lucky we stumbled upon this place. The apartment was perfect, the staff were exceptional, the pool was wonderfully set up and maintained, and the food was excellent. The resort is also super child/baby friendly. Very happy we came, even sadder to leave.
Really nice resort hotel with great rooms and facilities. Pool and grounds are great! Breakfast good, but what lets the place down generally is the very poor standard of cooking for lunch and way over priced. Italian holiday makers complain about this on google reviews and I can fully agree, just a shame as the resort is good otherwise. Reception staff are great except for the older headmistress type who I found unwelcoming and tired of life. Cleaning staff are also brilliant!
Very beautiful hotel with great surroundings. You can see that the garden is well cared for, with beautiful flowers and some entertainment for children. Everything is spotless and well maintained. The downside, unfortunately, is the staff. I didn’t feel particularly welcomed during check-in, and after staying 7 days at the resort, no one asked how my stay was at checkout. The breakfast crew says good morning, but they are extremely busy and often don’t have time to stop and ask about coffee preferences. They work very hard—probably 10–12 hours a day covering all three meal services. This workload could definitely be reduced by simply providing fresh brewed coffee and hot water in pots, during breakfast, allowing guests to serve themselves. Breakfast is exactly the same every day, with very limited options. Eggs are only served scrambled or boiled. The scrambled eggs have milk added, making them look more like soup, and the boiled eggs are usually cold and don’t seem fresh—likely straight from the fridge. One morning, the waiter was kind enough to accommodate my request for a fried egg at no extra charge, but it looked like the chef was trying to murder the egg. At this point i would have opted for the apartment accommodation that had no breakfast included . Dinner starts at 8 PM, which shocked me. People with small children don’t eat at 8 PM—they go to bed at that time. Unbelievable. I wasn’t impressed by the service or staff, but rather by the beautiful surroundings and the marvelous color of the sea. I hope this feedback will help the management improve on these small but important details.
