Las Lagunas Boutique Hotel is a true gem tucked away in the heart of Guatemala. With only a handful of rooms, the atmosphere is wonderfully peaceful and intimate — it feels like your own private paradise. The staff is exceptional. They take the time to learn your name and greet you warmly throughout the day, making the experience feel personal and genuine. The hotel itself is in excellent condition. Our room was beautiful, comfortable, and perfectly in tune with the serene surroundings. We especially loved the calm and relaxing vibe that made it easy to unwind. One of the highlights was the complimentary Monkey Island tour in the morning — a thoughtful little extra that added to the overall magic of our stay. The food exceeded our expectations, especially considering the remote location. The breaded shrimp is a must-try, and the cocktail menu is full of refreshing, well-crafted options. We absolutely loved our time here and would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommended for anyone looking to relax in a beautiful, welcoming place.

My best hotel experience in six years in Guatemala! This hotel is truly a five star boutique experience. My parents and I both rated it in our top 3 hotel experiences in the world. I had heard a lot of positive things about Las Lagunas over the years and worried I had over hyped it, but it blew my expectations up. Not only are the details phenomenal- the landscaping, the toiletries, the lighting (Often overlooked!), the bedding, the art, but there are so many more magical surprises (little mini libraries! A beautiful museum! Howler monkeys! Spider monkeys! Personal hot tubs!) that make the experience totally deluxe. The energy of the forest is incredible and it was a full recharge soaking in the peaceful nature sounds. We felt like the value was unreal for the quality of service. All of the staff were amazing and so kind but a special call out to Luis, Alex, Selvin, and Elmer for going above and beyond with their service and care. Can’t recommend it enough.

This boutique hotel is amazing. The location is quite beautiful and feels very safe. Everything felt very luxurious. But what makes this hotel even more worthwhile is its employees. Notably Alex, our dinner waiter and Elmer, our breakfast waiter. I came here to Las Lagunas with my friends and the 5 of us felt like princesses with the service they provided us with. I’ve never been to a resort where the waiter learned my name before we were even introduced; that happened with Alex. Alex’s memory and dedication to his work is impeccable. He is very attentive and respectful and really makes you feel even better than at home. He definitely deserves a promotion and an employee of the year award. He is a topnotch employee! Elmer was also superb. He was very attentive and made me look forward to breakfast every morning. We are thankful to the whole team of employees for making us feel like princesses, but are especially thankful to Alex for his excellent hospitality. Thank you, Alex!
