Las Olas

This hotel is very comfortable and next to the airport. There is a great pool and the served food is delicious. The rooms are clean and the personal is friendly. However, if you want to stay there, you need to consider flight noise during the day and car noise in the rooms to the front. Rather book rooms with ocean view.

We stayed in an apartment on top of the block "La Palma"; beautiful sea view and quiet. Terrace and pool are nicely designed. The airport nearby is no big deal, a few Turboprops and mostly just 1 jet a day. Restaurants, supermarket, trip agencies just 2 minutes away on the "main" road. The nearest beach is on the other end of the town about 15 minutes by foot. It's a good base for trips on the island or to Santa Cruz (regular bus service) if you don't expect luxury. The staff is very friendly!

Room for improvement. Rooms are outdated and very noisy, no isolation at all between rooms. Outside pool and garden are very well maintained, so it's a little disappoinment if you enter your room.. Location is excellent for exploring the island. Staff does not speak English at all, even not at the ftomt desk, but they will do their best to help you, very friendly.
