Fabulous apt. with great garden. Problem with a door, repeated requests to get it fixed were unsuccessful, but not a deal breaker. Breakfast fantastic, staff delightful and couldn't do enough for you. Golf course also great. Dinner final night at Melvin's underwhelming but very expensive and disappointing. Pool areas not crowded and reasonable amount of shade. Overall, for family holiday (all adults, no children) 1st class but note resort prices!

We were here and it was Perfect. The Rooms were clean, modern, comfortable and well maintained. We had 3 Bedrooms with each bedroom having its own Bathroom which was great. The garden was big and we had our very own Whirlpool. The Breakfast was very good. It was a very big Buffet and a little Menu which was a great addition to the Buffet. And besides the rooms was everything clean and also well maintained. However the restaurants in the Resort are good but very very expensive. You have a free shuttle that drives you everywhere in the Resort.

Overall, 2 stars is the best this hotel deserves. First of all, if you are still considering Terrazas or Jardines, bear in mind that Jardines is an unfinished construction site (you can even see it on Google Maps). The place is generally green and well located (including underground parking accessible directly from the building). Rooms (suites) are spacious and well equipped. However, here are some issues that are unacceptable for a so-called 5-star hotel and service: • The pools are small and in need of restoration (large areas require repainting). • The shuttle to the beach is a complete disaster — you can wait hours for a car, and drivers barely follow basic first-come-first-served principles. You even have to fight for your car at the beach, despite calling and booking in advance. • There are three restaurants at Abama, all of which are overpriced (even by Paris or London standards). For example, a glass of local wine is 12–13 EUR for just 80–100 ml — the same wine costs about 3 EUR per bottle at HiperDino. There are much better restaurants in San Juan village, only a 7-minute drive away. • The worst is probably the reception — they act like they are listening but are completely careless. Our room was not ready on time, we had trouble securing parking and using the shuttle service, and they offered no help whatsoever. You’re better off booking at the Ritz-Carlton (roughly the same rate).
