Leo Lord and staff at the Lauriston Court Hotel Llandudno, hubby and I would like to thank you. We had a wonderful stay here. Rooms were clean and warm. Shower and bathroom were clean and updated. Bed was large and comfy ( hubby had to swim across to give a goodnight kiss lol). Breakfast was excellent, all food cooked to perfection, please thank chef for us. Cereal, ( plus dishes with nuts, fruit, seeds, which I love), full English breakfast, salmon if preferred, toast with jam, honey etc coffees, teas, oat milks etc. The best home from home breakfast I have had for years. One little glitch. Daughter booked it for us for birthday treat and thought that parking was included, please remember to book your space if you require one. Also, this pub does not serve meals, the only meal is breakfast. I think there's one or two rooms on the ground floor for people who may have mobility issues. There's a pool table in the back room and the small bar is open in the evening. Thank you Leo Lord and staff for a very enjoyable stay, hope to visit in the near future.
We had a family room for 5 of us , short walk from the station , it's right on the promande looking out to sea & close to the llandudno pier , the kids loved the arcade. The hotel includes breakfast which I can say was very good 👍 there are choices available, free wifi , don't think their is a lift so you have stairs to go up and down
My room was, honestly, a bit of a dump. The floor was so uneven that, at some spots, you could step several inches below the rest of the floor, and it very much slanted one way or another. Instead of fixing this, it appears they threw a carpet over it and hpped for the best. This shoddiness is a theme throughout. The sink doesn't drain. The shower gets hot but if you try to take a slower longer than 5 minutes, you'd spill water outside the shower, water that would rapidly spread throughout the whole bathroom because of the tilt. The shower wasn't clean--mildew spots throughout. The kettle was very dirty and unusable. I mention the latter to the front desk and they just said "ok" and made no attempt to fix it. There were black stains on my bedsheets, which were too small for the bed so they would slip off at night. The king bed was two uncomfortable twins smashed together with a very thin topper so I ended up just sleeping on one twin anyway, as the mattress sunk dramatically in the middle of each twin, and you could feel the springs through the thin mattress. The couch was old, uncomfortable and unclean--you sort of slipped right off of it. After checking in, it was clear I needed the room to be cleaned (especially because spilled water from the shower used up all my towels to clean). I put the sign out to have my room made up to ensure it would be done and ...no surprise, it was not cleaned when I was back from my tour. The man at the reception insisted I must have put up a do not disturb sign, but I definitely did not, given how unsatisfied I was with the room cleanliness. I checked multiple times before leaving. The breakfast was plentiful but made me ill. The room instructions say they have a washer and dryer for use, but they're broken. The phone doesn't work, so you have to walk down and up thr stairs to talk to the front desk. This was one of my absolute worst hotel experiences and it is insane how much $$ I spent here. I regret it completely. This is a beautiful historic building that has been very, very badly maintained. They should be ashamed for letting this building get do run down and absolutely ashamed for the prices they charge to stay there. Awful. Choose another place to stay.
