Layla Tulum Adults Only

We stayed at Layla Tulum for a week and it was the most fabulous experience. The hotel itself is so well situated in the centre of Tulum and is genuinely an oasis of calm. The rooftop bar / pool area is perfect for relaxing, and the decor there and throughout the hotel is superb - think Moroccan riad. The rooms are incredibly comfortable and have excellent air conditioning (a must!). Finally, what really makes the hotel are the staff. They really cannot do enough for you, and are available at all times to help plan trips, answer questions, provide suggestions or just have a chat with. The cleaners, bar staff, chefs and front of house staff are all wonderful - we’d come back for them alone!

First and foremost.. I want to address a specific review that mentioned smell. I’m not “trying” to discredit their experience, at all, but here’s my thought on that: I went to Sana (their high-end sister hotel), and it is nowhere near the level that this small boutique hotel offers. The first thing I mentioned upon walking in was, “wow.. the scent they have in here is amazing.” And my husband followed up with, “the best smelling hotel we’ve been to here in Tulum.” The lobby, hallways, and room smell very pleasant. The room is a little small but they made the best of the space. I’m not planning on doing gymnastics so I don’t mind it. The rooftop is gorgeous and so calming. Everything is very clean. Hookah, drinks, and food are incredible. Lastly, the service is unmatched. The staff are so warm, attentive, and they’re willing to go out of their way for you. They make everything feel like a 5-star service. When we come back, we’d prefer to stay here to a fancy hotel on the beach (like we’ve just come from). Thank you for going out of your way to make us happy and give us such a unique experience. We love Layla Tulum 🤍 Edited to add: Ernesto, I love you! 😂 you made our stay unforgettable.

I had a beautiful stay at Layla Tulum. The service was friendly and extremely helpful - they gave us suggestions for activities and restaurants that we wouldn't have otherwise gone to and which made our time in Tulum so much more amazing. The rooms were also stunning and extremely comfortable. I would definitely stay there again on my next trip to Tulum.
