My two-night stay at L'Azure Resort and Spa in the Beachfront Villa with the private pool was pure bliss! The villa was very well kept and clean, private pool was a luxurious touch to our romantic getaway, would be perfect for a honeymoon! Being 20 steps from the beach was nice and falling asleep to the ocean waves was therapeutic. The staff was exceptional, friendly, professional and accommodating for us. The food and hospitality was great and notably the breakfast was outstanding, offering a diverse mix of local Vietnamese flavors and international cuisines, each executed very well. The location felt safe day and night, and was ideal for exploring nearby while serving as a great middle location for exploring the main attractions Phu Quoc has to offer. A small heads up: island dogs near local eateries can be a nuisance, but it didn't really detract from the experience, we just had to be weary of them for a small amount of time, but what is vacation without a little adventure!
Nice resort, good value for money! A nice beach directly at the hotel, during our 5 night stay we had no issues getting a sunbed at any time. Service at the beach was sometimes a bit slow, but we were here at the end of the season. The pool is quite big and was empty a lot of the times during our stay. Breakfast buffet is huge and one of the best I have seen in Vietnam. Our room was spacious and clean, only downside was very low water pressure. The resort is located at a busy street, which is great for restaurants and other shopping, but you can sometimes hear noises from the traffic.
Conveniently located along the main road to Dương Đông which is the main town in Phu Quoc, with a 10-15 minute walk to the night market area, as well as to many restaurants. Right on the main beach which is clean and tidy and the hotel provides sun chairs and towels right by the beach. We stayed in a small building with four rooms. The rooms where a bit old, but pretty well maintained. However, the bed and pillows are terrible, never slept in a more uncomfortable bed in my life. In fact, I've slept more comfortable on the ground when I've been hiking. The breakfast is very bland and boring and by Vietnamese standards that's really a feat, as the food in general is very good in Vietnam. Also the AC in the room wasn't helping much when it was really hot and took quite some time too cool down the room at times. Also not a big fan of the open bathroom that lacked a door, although the toilet did have a tinted glass door. Sadly the uncomfortable bed ruined an otherwise good stay.
